New findings from the Office for National Statistics show that mums in England face a huge loss in earnings after having children. Comparing a mum’s earnings in the year before the birth of a child, the total loss in earnings over five years was £65,618 for a first child. This is big price to pay for the love of a child.
For God to save the world from the penalty of sin and have eternal life, required Him to pay a great price, not in money, but to give up His one and only Son to death on a cross. ‘God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.’ (Romans 5:8) Don’t reject God’s love, but accept the free gift of eternal life through faith in Him.
