28th September 2025 is World Rabies Day, with the aim to raise awareness about and eradicate this disease. Rabies is an infectious viral disease that is almost always fatal once symptoms are shown.
Everyone who has ever lived has a disease within them that is always fateful… sin. Romans 6:23 tells us that, “the wages of sin is death”, but also that there is a cure… “but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” A Hebrews 9:27-28 reminds us, “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many”. It’s only by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ that we can be saved.
