“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
Saturday 6th September was National Colour Blind Awareness Day and highlighted the problem some people have – it affects about 1 in every 12 males and 1 in every 200 females.
Although the Bible doesn’t refer to colour blindness, some people have spiritual blindness to the the fact that our sins are “like scarlet…as red as crimson” and this is something that affects everyone. Through Jesus dying on the cross and rising from the dead God promises to make them ‘as white as snow’. “For if we confess our sins, we know that He will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
